Working dogs

Flashback Tuesday. Here is my mum on the farm with their first sheep dog, a Kelpie Cross called Red. He was a rescue and he thrived in a working environment with a job that he loved doing.
We see more and more working dogs in the city and whilst they can acclimatize well in the right family, just to be aware that they have very high exercise and intellectual needs.
When picking the right type of pup for your family the most important considerations are temperament, lifestyle fit, and exercise requirements.
There is no point picking a Kelpie if you enjoy chilling at home or a Pug if you like long runs!
